Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the QR Code Generator

Go to our homepage where you'll find the free QR code generator. Click on the type selector to see all available QR code types.

Tip: The generator works in any modern browser - no account or download needed.

Select vCard Type

In the type selector, find and click on "vCard". This type is designed specifically for contact information and creates a digital business card that phones can save directly to contacts.

Tip: vCard is the standard format recognized by all smartphones for contact information.

Enter Your Name

Fill in your first name and last name in the respective fields. The name fields are required and will appear as the contact name when someone saves your info.

Tip: Use your professional name as it appears on business cards.

Add Contact Details

Fill in the contact information you want to share: phone number (mobile, work, home), email address, job title, company/organization name. Include as much or as little as you want.

Tip: Mobile phone is the most commonly used field - make sure it's correct.

Add Address (Optional)

If you want to include a physical address, fill in the street, city, state/province, postal code, and country. This is useful for business cards where you want people to find your office.

Tip: Only include your address if it's relevant - it adds to QR code complexity.

Add Website & Social (Optional)

Include your website URL if you have one. This gives people a way to learn more about you or your business after they save your contact.

Tip: Use your main website or LinkedIn profile for professional contacts.

Customize Style (Optional)

Click the "Style" tab to customize colors and patterns. For business cards, consider using your brand colors. Make sure to maintain high contrast for reliable scanning.

Tip: Classic black and white always works best for professional use.

Preview and Test

Scan the preview QR code with your phone. It should prompt you to add a new contact. Verify all information is correct before downloading.

Tip: Test on both iPhone and Android if possible - both should show "Add to Contacts" option.

Download Your QR Code

Click Download and choose your format. SVG is best for business cards (print), PNG works for digital use. Choose a size appropriate for your intended use.

Tip: For business cards, download SVG at minimum 150x150 pixels (0.5" at 300dpi).

Pro Tips for vCard QR Codes

  • Always include your mobile number - it's what most people want
  • Use your professional email, not a personal one
  • Add your LinkedIn URL as the website for professional networking
